Have fun and I hope to see a lot of right answers, but if not.. it's okay, were not all smart here, as you can tell from my opening statement to this post.
Okay now on to my normal Tueday's Meme. I was stopping by a friend's blog yesterday and noticed that she had my name in her post. So of course I read it to find a very nifty subject in the making.. something we all should pay more attention to and it is something that is near and dear to my heat even though I have yet to become one. Her blog name is 'My Adventures And Antics', her name is Goofy J and I love her to death!
Her topic was 'What real mom's do..' I have yet to become a mom so I have yet to figure out what exactly real mom's do, but here is something that I know I myself will do once I have kids and bring them up in my family. So here goes:
Real Moms take the time to sit and do something they love with the people they love instead of doing something like cleaning the house or trying to impress the neighbors. In my opinion motherhood is the single most important job a women can have. You are the one of the people responsible for another life or lives, you are responsible for the well being of those children and for teaching each and everything that they may need to know in order to survive in this world. It is our responsibility to lead by example and to know that whatever we do our kids will see and they will take it in. If we are teaching our kids that it isn't okay to hit people or to say cuss words but we are watching it on tv or listening to it on the radio, what is that showing our kids.. that it is okay even though mom said it wasn't, because mom is watching it or listening to it and doesn't care. So we need to take this one job seriously (as all of my lovie blog buddies most certainly do) and show them what is right. If we spend all of our days cleaning the house and making everything spotless instead of reading or playing with our kids, what are we showing them, that everyone else's opinions about us matter and that instead of being truely happy we have to worry about impressing the neighbors. Who cares if you don't get every dish in the kitchen clean! Who cares that you didn't fold and put away all the laundry! Who cares that you weren't able to find the match to that one missing sock!! WHO CARES!! While you are doing all that your kids are in their rooms wishing that mommy took the time to play with them or teach them how to do things besides seperate themselves from their family. So put down that dish rag, or that basket full of cloths, go in and take the time to play with your kids, it is those memories that they cherish the most. Ask them!
(okay I am off my soap box now!)
Here is my picture to represent my 'real mom' activity:
this is of me eating ice cream, thinking to myself, "who cares if the boxes aren't unpacked yet, I have my husband and ice cream, what could be better?"

This is probably why I don't want to unpack anymore HA HA HA:

These would be my legs... how sad huh!
So what is one thing that you are NOT going to do so you can play with your kiddos?
